Dr. B. Robert Shayestehfar is a board certified radiologist with sub-specialty training in MRI/Musculoskeletal. Dr. Shayestehfar is a Suma Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate from University of California Irvine, with a degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree from University of California Los Angeles with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Shayestehfar completed his clinical internship training at Mercy Hospital in San Diego after which he went back to UCLA to complete his Radiology residency training. After his residency training he completed his fellowship in MRI/Musculoskeletal at University of Southern California. Throughout his education and postgraduate training, Dr. Shayestehfar's conscientious and diligent dedication to his field is reflected in his honors and scholarships. Dr. Shayestehfar is the author of multiple presentation and publication in field of Radiology with special interest in Musculoskeletal, neuroradiology and Breast imaging. Dr. Shayestehfar is an associate professor of radiology at UCLA School of medicine and served as an attending physician of radiology at Olive View/UCLA hospital from July 2000 to March 2005. He served as the Chief of MRI/Musculoskeletal program during his attendance. He also was an active member of Neuroradiology program at Olive View/UCLA hospital. Currently, he is in private practice at Prohealth Advanced Imaging group.
