Work at the Skull Base Institute has been progressing at an amazing pace, as we pass the 2500 case milestone for the Endoscopic removal of skull base and brain tumors. Our patients have come from all fifty states and from as far as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland and Switzerland.

The Skull Base Institute has partnered with several world-class companies, including Olympus and Stryker Leibinger, in furthering the design of micro instruments and fiber optic endoscopes. Additionally, SBI is currently in discussions with the most innovative leaders in the technology sector to try and significantly propel the field of skull base surgery, by contributing to the advancement of nanotechnology. This collaboration includes nano-optics, 3D visualizations and heads-up displays for an even more minimally invasive approach to the surgical treatment of skull base and brain tumors.
